One step at a time. That's the best way to go from the beginning of something to the masterly level. You start at the beginning, learn the fundamentals, and grow into expertise.
Trying to do things far beyond your skill level rarely works out. At best, you can get by for a while. At worst, you find yourself making dreadful mistakes and becoming frustrated and discouraged.
The road to success is, sometimes, long and demanding. Success comes from starting with the foundations and building on them.
